Meet the Artist: Stacey's Journey from Nashville to Beach Life

Today I wanted to pop in and show my face a bit to give you a chance to know the artist and family here behind Anchored Soul Designs.
I'm Stacey, Nashville girl turned beach girl! Technically, I was born in New Jersey, not far from the beach. It just took me about 40 years to get back to beach life!
I took countless beach trips as a kid to visit family in Florida, but when I began making beach trips with friends in high school and college was when I really got the beach bug. My best friend and I would travel to beaches all over North Carolina, and then when I began a family we took more trips to North Carolina, Georgia and Florida beaches.
I began making beach signs after the birth of my first child because I couldn't find any in stores that fit my coastal style and didn't look cheap and tacky.
From there I began making beach signs and farmhouse signs to sell because after all I was in the middle of Tennessee! I sold online, locally at markets and in many local small shops.
When we bought our first home in Tennessee, I went full in on decorating coastal decor despite being far from the beach. I used my home to style and show off my beach signs as my business grew.
Then in 2020 when the world flipped upside down, we decided we might as well flip it some more and head to the beach to live.
Now I'm making my beach signs, living a mile from the beach, and enjoying our small town Amelia Island life. Life is still full of challenges, but it would be the same wherever we live. Living near the beach, makes it that much better and easier to handle life's challenges though.
Until you can live the beach life yourself, that's what I'm here for. To inspire you and help you fill your life with coastal decor until you have your home by the sea.
The Dream of Moving to the Beach
If you've ever stood at the water's edge and thought "I could live here," you're not alone. That feeling is real, and for a lot of people it stays a dream for years, sometimes decades. For us, it took a global pandemic and a whole lot of courage to finally make the leap from landlocked Tennessee to Amelia Island, Florida.
The truth is, moving to the beach doesn't fix everything. The laundry still piles up. The kids still argue. The to-do list never ends. But there is something genuinely different about waking up a mile from the ocean. The air smells different. The pace feels different. And when life gets hard, you can walk to the beach and let the waves put things in perspective in a way that nothing else quite can.
If you're in the middle of your own "someday I'll live at the beach" season, I see you. I was there for a long time. And in the meantime, I believe you can bring the feeling of the coast into your home right now, wherever you are. That's exactly why I make these signs. They're not just decor. They're a reminder of what you love and where your heart is.
