How We Moved to the Beach and Found Our Slice of Paradise
Share
If you love the beach, searching for beach treasures, or decorating with coastal decor, I’m looking for YOU! Today, I want to share a bit about our journey moving to the beach and how it transformed our lives.
Before we made the move, we lived in Tennessee and planned to move once our young kids grew up and left us. Using grays, whites, and aquas along with making my own beach decor, we transformed our average builder-grade home into a beach house in the middle of Tennessee.
During the pandemic, we began to wonder why we were putting off our dreams and decided to take the plunge. We packed up and moved to Amelia Island in Florida, and it took a bit of time, but now we have our beach house. Even though we are technically one mile from the beach with no ocean view, it’s still our slice of paradise.
From watching the sunrise over the ocean to sunsets by the river, every day feels like a new adventure. We’ve also enjoyed discovering the local history and wildlife, exploring our cute downtown, and supporting local businesses.
If you’ve ever dreamed of living by the beach, I encourage you to keep dreaming and planning. It might not be as far out of reach as you think. And even if you can’t move just yet, you can still bring the beach into your home with coastal decor and we’d love to help with our handmade beach signs.
Tell me below where you dream of having a beach house someday, and hit that button to follow along in the journey.
