Creating a Coastal Vibe: Beach Reads and Decorating with Treasures

Creating a Coastal Vibe: Beach Reads and Decorating with Treasures

I hope you loved the 3 strageties I shared yesterday for creating a coastal space wherever you are. I did mention in the video to eliminate bold bright colors to create a calm coastal vibe in your home, but as you can see here, I do have one spot where I do leave lots of color. Just as I’m obsessed with light and breezy decorating  I am also obsessed with light and breezy beach rerads.

I've always imagined having shelves full of books that myself or guests can grab and head to the beach to read. And I’m thrilled to see it finally happening. Instead of organizing by author, I love organizing by color.

And I love adding my beach treasures to these shelves. I use my larger beach treasures to store the tiny ones and add other family photos and items I love around them on these shelves.

I hope to some day either have these entire shelves full of books or maybe another bookshelf so I can keep my treasures out.

Don’t worry there are lots more books inside these cabinets as I’ve been an avid reader most of my life up until having kids, but lately I’ve been reading a lot more!

Tell me your favorite books to read if you love them too. I’m currently in the middle of reading a book by Emily Henry, literally called Beach Reads, and I’m reading the Bridgerton series….I’m betting a lot of you know why, but I’ve had the first couple books for a while now! Thank you for being here and follow along to join in the beachy journey
