These tips will help you care for your new purchase OR decide if that coastal item you've been eyeing is really for you by answering some questions you might have!

And if you only bought one type of item, you might be interested in another by reading these! 

The majority of our products are our handmade signs. They are all made in our home in Florida by our family! Ray cuts down our wood and helps with shipping, while Stacey designs and paints all sign orders! But we have our sign designs on lots of other items also. We have other local mamas that pitch in to help us when we get really busy.

It may seem like you don’t need any advice on how to take care of your signs because- it’s just a sign! You hang it or plop it on a shelf and that’s it! But there are questions and issues that come up from time to time and we are always here to help!

Sign care-

• All our signs are painted with high-quality and durable paint meant to last.
  
  
• They can be used for outdoor use, but we recommend they be under cover and not directly exposed to the elements. 
  
  
• Use a magic eraser to clean your sign if needed. You can scrub hard on the white background to remove dirt or scrapes but scrub lightly on the colored designs. Some of the paint may rub off but typically not enough to alter the design as we paint a thick coat or two on each sign. 
  
  
• To prevent damage- store seasonal signs with care so nothing scrapes them. Save the bubble wrap from the package we shipped in to keep it from rubbing up against other items or the hanger on another sign. If you aren’t hanging your signs we recommend keeping the hanger covered- or removing it so it won’t damage another sign in storage.
  
  
• We use real wood meaning it can change over time. While the wood we use is dry and cured, your weather and the environment inside your home can alter wood from time to time. On occasion, new splits can form or knots appear, but we think that just gives some extra handmade appeal and character.
  
  
• If your sign becomes so altered that it bothers you, please reach out. We don’t offer returns, but we don’t want you unhappy with your sign even a year from now. We can give you tips on how to clean, fix, or see if a complete replacement is needed. 

Apparel care-

• Wash your garments inside out with like colors and fabrics to keep designs protected
  
  
• Many of our designs are purposely distressed (like our logo shirts!), so don’t think they are coming to you faded already!
  
  
• Designs on darker shirts may fade slightly over time, which is normal.
  
  
• All of our designs are printed and shipped individually by our printing partners. We’ve tested them all and have them for our own use, but we typically don’t see your actual product before it goes out. So if it doesn’t seem right, just let us know!
  
  
• All of our t-shirts are printed on Bella Canvas 3001 brand shirts and printed in the USA. If you know this brand well, you should know your typical sizing.
  
  
• Hoodies are all Gildan brand
  
  
• There should be minimal shrinking in your items, but it is possible since all methods of washing/drying may vary.

Mug care-

• Dishwashing is acceptable, but handwashing is preferred. 
  
  
• Again, all of our mugs are printed and shipped individually by our printing partners. We’ve tested them all and have them for our own use, but we typically don’t see your actual product before it goes out. So if it doesn’t seem right, just let us know!
  
  
• Mugs are some of the most fragile items to ship, so if yours arrives damaged we will always make it right! 

Other items-

• We are constantly adding and testing new products, many are versions of our sign designs on other items. 
  
  
• Blankets, bags, pillows and many other items are printed and shipped by our printing partners and will ship separately from other products.
